Fender Squier Classic Vibe ’60s Stratocaster – SRV Looks, Texas Fire & 16 Years of Genuine Mojo
If you’re looking for a mint-condition case queen, this probably isn’t the guitar for you.
If you’re looking for a super light, 7.3Ibs Strat that’s been loved, played, and developed the kind of character that only comes from years of making music, then this beauty deserves your attention.
Up for sale is this Fender Squier Classic Vibe ’60s Stratocaster, sporting a stunning vintage sunburst finish, dark rosewood fingerboard and enough authentic road-worn charm to make you do a double take. With its aged parchment scratchplate and honest wear, it has serious Stevie Ray Vaughan “Number One” vibes and looks every bit the seasoned blues machine.
Serial CGS1006890 tells us this is one of the very earliest classic vibe models and is known as a Grand Reward Classic Vibe because of its manufacture at the famous ‘Grand Reward’ site in China. It uses the finest materials - lightweight Alder body, dark rosewood fingerboard, amber tinted neck, Alnico V pickups and at the time subject to better manufacturing than the equivalent Fender Mexican Strats.
16 Years of Honest Playwear & Character
This guitar has accumulated plenty of genuine battle scars during its 16 years with its previous owner. Every mark, ding and rub-through tells a story of rehearsals, gigs and countless hours of playing. There’s no artificial relic job here—just authentic wear that gives the guitar a look and feel that money simply can’t fake.
We’ve taken the time at the UnderThreeHundred workshop to soften the appearance of the marks and dings so that they are even more a part of the story and journey - we particularly love the impact of marks and wear on three colour sunburst - it looks incredible!
The result is a Strat with real soul, real character and a whole lot of mojo.
